REGLAMENTO DE LA CARRERA DE MONTAÑA TRANSVULCANIA 2009

Art. 1 – Organization.

The race mountain TRANSVULCANIA 2009 is organized by the Department of Environment of the Cabildo Insular de La Palma, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and various institutions and sponsors.

Art. 2 – Test.

The TRANSVULCANIA 2009 is a mountain race that crosses the island of La Palma through two paths Gran Recorrido (GR 130 and GR 131) leaving the lighthouse Fuencaliente and arrival in Los Llanos de Aridane for the Ultra 83 miles, and exit the Lighthouse Fuencaliente and arrival at the Refuge for the El Pilar Mediamaratón of 26 kilometers.

The test will be held on July 25, 2009 from 6 hours.

Art. 3 – Regulation.

This regulation is strict adherence to all participants in the TRANSVULCANIA 2009. Any incident not covered in it, will be resolved by the jury of the TRANSVULCANIA 09, comprising a Director of Racing, a member of the Organization, a representative of the Corridors, a Member of the Mountaineering Federation Canaria and an Officer of the Town La Palma.

Participation

• Participation is open to all riders who correctly formalize the registration. They must also submit proof of income of the bank test (details below) and a medical certificate completed by a specific physician can be downloaded on the official website of the race and a disclaimer provided by the Organization and filled signed at the time of delivery of ridges.

• Participants must respect the environment in which the test and clean the environment. They should eat and drink without leaving any packaged outside of the containers available for such use. Breach of this point would mean downgrading.

• Do not allow the participation of minors.

• The ridges will be delivered on July 24 at the place and time designated by the organization, participants must submit proof of income, specific medical certificate, the Disclaimer and complete the identity card or any other legal identification document. THE DAY OF THE RACE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COLLECT THE DORSAL.

Career

• The approximate distance of the race is 83.3 km., With a cumulative drop of 8525 meters (4415 up and 4110 down) for the Ultra, and 26.8 km., With a cumulative drop of 2910 meters (2,180 and up 730 down) for Mediamaratón. This test runs in its entirety by two paths Grande, the GR 130 and GR 131, scarcely touching villages, apart from the arrival in the town of Los Llanos de Aridane a small initial stretch through the village Los Canarios and another tranche in the Port of Tazacorte.

• The race route will be marked with tape marked and signage created specifically for the test. The rutómetro of it is published on the official website of the race. Any changes or modifications to the same will be made public by the same means.

• The route is not closed to traffic, so that athletes should exercise caution and observe the road traffic code. At points where they cross the road will be staff and security measures, as well as medical services at certain locations along the entire route. • The test will be controlled electronically through the Champion, Chip. Participants will receive a chip that must carry over the entire route. • The racers will have a maximum time of 18 hours to complete the journey. It also establishes a maximum time step for control 3 (Refugio El Pilar) for six hours (12:00 pm) for the Ultra runners and eight hours (14:00 pm) for corridors the Mediamaratón, as well as control 7 (Roque de los Muchachos) twelve hours (18:00 pm). • Any rider who leaves the test during the course of it, MUST be alert to the nearest control point or the components of the broom.

• All riders must wear a MANDATORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT, which can be checked on departure, on arrival or at any point of the race should consist of: hydration system (Camelback type with minimum capacity of 2 liters), headlamp , red rear position, thermal blanket, whistle and emergency mobile phone number provided at registration, but may only be used in case of emergency, withdrawal or redemption.

• Athletes who do not carry the equipment required, can not continue in the race and will be disqualified.

• There shall be a minimum of 12 victualling (4 solid and liquid 8) plus a final fueling on arrival, being composed of water and drink isotonic fluids and fruit variety, energy bars, snacks and nuts solids.

• The image rights arising from the TRANSVULCANIA 2009 will be exclusive to the Organization of the test, so any use thereof by any company or individual, shall be permitted and / or recognized by the Organization itself.

Inscriptions

• Registration will be conducted via mail by filling in the form of participation through this website, in addition to the corresponding entry of the fee of the bank account detailed below. • When the Organization receives EFT properly and check the documentation, registration takes place, appearing on the list of participants will be updated periodically.

• The DEADLINE for registration of the TRANSVULCANIA 2009 will be between April 27 and July 19, 2009, inclusive.

• The registration fee is 40 Euros for the Ultra and 30 Euros for Mediamaratón.

• The inscription on the TRANSVULCANIA 2009, includes:
  • Participation in the race.
  • Supplies liquid and solid during the race.
  • Supplies in goal.
  • Transport service to starting from the points set by the Organization.
  • Transport service from arrival to the points set by the Organization.
  • Relocation of staff to bag on arrival.
  • Attendance for the race through the device health and safety set by the Organization.
  • Transport service to the goal of the participants to leave.
  • Showers, changing rooms and massage service in the areas of Meta.
  • Lunch End of Career for the corridor in the area of services after the completion of the awards

• Registration is personal and not transferable and implies acceptance of these rules. Since the time of registration, there will be no return of the amounts involved in cases of non-participation, for whatever reason. In case of suspension of the test before the start, the Organization shall return the amount received by athletes registered.

• Bad weather does not prevent the testing, although the organization reserves the right to suspend or modify its course if it sees fit, especially if you consider that the physical integrity of the injured riders can be seen.

• TRANSVULCANIA any participant in the 2009 you want to submit a complaint to the Organization of the race, you must submit a deposit of 50 Euros will only be refunded in the event that such claim is favorable to the claimant.

Categories and Prizes

• Delivery of trophies will take place at approximately 19 hours.

• Female Veteran category (from 40 years of age).

Disqualifications

• Besides the reasons stated above, the Organization may disqualify a participant from the race if he proves that:

• The corridor does not pass through all checkpoints.
• The broker does not make the entire journey on foot through the spot marked by the Organization.
• The broker does not provide assistance to any participant who needs it.
• The broker does not carry the part visible in dorsal frontal specified by the Organization.

Modifications

These rules may be corrected, modified or improved at any time by the Organization. The fact of the inscription shows the participant's compliance with this regulation.
