FESTIVAL DE SENDERISMO Y MONTAÑA LA PALMA

Friday, October, 2nd

At Plaza del Senderista.(Plaza de España, Los Llanos de Aridane).

Guided walks.
Free of charge. Wishing to take part in any of these walks, please register in advance. To do so, click on the one you want to take part in:

• At 08.00: Transfer to starting points of long-distance hiking paths
• Ruta de los Volcanes (The Volcanoe Route) . (duration: around 6 hours)
• Grandes Acantilados del Norte . (walking along part of the long-distance route, GR130, along the coastline in the North)


• At 09.30: Transfer to starting points of short-distance hiking trails
• Laurisilva excelsa. (to admire the laurel forest of Los Tilos. Starting point: Visitor Centre of the Los Tilos Laurel forest. End point: The Espigón Atravesado viewpoint) (Duration: around 3 hours)
• Volcanes vivos. (to visit the Teneguía and the San Antonio volcanoes. From the San Antonio volcano down to the lighthouse on the coast) (Duration: around 3 hours) (Disabled people are welcome) (Adaptada )
• Las Huellas del Pasado. ( going along part of the long-distance GR 130 hiking path, from Las Tricias to Lomada Grande) (Around 3 hours)

Music, Leisure and Entertainment:

• 17:00 horas.- Inauguration of the Plaza del Senderista.
• 17:00 - 21:00 horas.- Exhibition of local food .
• 17:30 - 19:00 horas.- Workshop focused on: Salto del Pastor, is a means of moving with a spear, which is used to jump over uneaven ground and geographical features.
• 18:00 - 20:00 horas.- Local food tasting.
• 18:00 - 19:00 horas.- Exhibition of stilts in Plaza del Senderista by TEATRO KDO.
• 19:00 - 21:00 horas.- Seminar "Periodismo de Montaña", focused on journalism in mountains.
• 22:00 horas.- Launch of the song "SENDEROS DE LA PALMA". A concert by Moise González & Son Iyá. Special guest stars: José Manuel Ramos, León de Romeo, Beselch Rodriguez.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER, 3RD

At Plaza del Senderista (Plaza de España, Los Llanos de Aridane).

• Ruta del Agua. (From Casa del Monte down to Bosque de los Tilos, visiting the Marcos y Cordero Springs) (Duration: 5 hours)
• Ruta de Los Volcanes. (The Volcanoe Route) (duration: around 6 hours)
• Grandes Acantilados del Norte. (walking along part of the long-distance route, GR130, along the coastline in the North) (Duration: around 6 hours)

• Laurisilva y Agua. (to admire the laurel forest of Cubo de la Galga) (Duration: around 3 hours)(Adapted to disabled people) ((Adapted to disabled people) )
• Volcanes vivos. (to visit the Teneguía and the San Antonio volcanoes. From the San Antonio volcano down to the lighthouse on the coast) (Duration: around 3 hours)
• Observatorios y Estrellas. (going around the summit of Roque de los Muchachos, from Morro de la Cebolla to Roque de los Muchachos) (Around 3 hours)

• 20:00 horas.- Senderismo bajo las estrellas. (Hiking under the stars. Starting point: the Refugio del Pilar picnic site. End point: Llano de las Brujas. Duration: around 3 hours)

• 10:00 - 12:00 horas.- Different activities and games for children.
• 12:00 - 13:00 horas.- Clowns and big balls at Plaza del Senderista with TEATRO KDO..
• 13:00 - 14:00 horas.- Humor with MANOLO VIEIRA.
• 17:00 horas.- Inauguration of the Plaza del Senderista.
• 10:00 - 21:00 horas.- Exhibition of local food.
• 17:00 - 18:00 horas.- Launch of sport (hiking and climbing) equipment. At the main stage.
• 18:00 - 20:00 horas.- Local food tasting
• 18.00 - 20:00 horas.- Globoflexia at Plaza del Senderista by Teatro Kdo
• 18:00 - 20:00 horas.- Workshop on GPS and Geocoahing, Geocoaching games at Plaza del Senderista.

Volcán de San Antonio (Fuencaliente):

• 22:00 horas.- Closing ceremony "Luces y Música en el Volcán". At the San Antonio volcano. (Volcán de San Antonio (Fuencaliente)
