The Cabildo (Town Hall) of La Palma sponsors and participates in the organization of the 40th World Congress sponsored by the European Walking Ramblers Association, that it will be celebrated in the island in October 2009. In this congress will participate more than 50 associations and companies of 26 European states, besides from Israel and Morocco, representing the interests of 5 million members.

Taking advantage of synergies generated by this congress, the Town Hall (Cabildo) of La Palma will develop "Hiking and Mountain Festival La Palma 2009,” with the sponsorship of the adventurer and director of the television program "At edge of the impossible" Sebastián Álvaro.

SEMINARY

As part of this festival, it will take place some social time in order of hiking, and in which there will be room for other recreational activities such as musical performances, exhibition of the industry products, educational workshops, etc.

In the same way, it would be carried out Professional Days of the Tourism of Nature as well as a Forum of Professional Hiring of the tourism of footpaths and the eco-tourism, as well as a seminary of product “Tourism of Nature.”
